MOU renewed between Nabil Foundation and Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology
Nabil Foundation will continue providing financial support to needy patients identified by NEP TIO for corneal transplant. This program shall continue under the slogan “Sight for all by Tilganga in association with Nabil Foundation”.
Mr. Dayaram Gopal Agrawal, Chairman of Nabil Foundation and Dr. Reeta Gurung, Chief Executive Officer of NEP TIO renewed the MOU for another 2 years in an event held at Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, Gaushala, Kathmandu. Professor Dr. Sanduk Ruit and Nabil bank’s Chairman Mr. Shambhu Prasad Poudyal, Chief Executive Officer Mr. Anil Keshary Shah along with the officials of both the organizations were present in the event.
Chairman of the foundation, Mr. Agrawal expressed his satisfaction on being able to give continuation to such noble cause of giving the gift of sight to the needy patients. He said, “Nabil Foundation in its drive to better the lives is very proud to be associated with a reputed institution like NEP TIO in its endeavors to the noble work of alleviating blindness from the country.”
Nabil Bank’s Chairman, Mr. Shambhu Prasad Poudyal said “We are very pleased to extend our partnership with NEP TIO who has been continuously serving the nation by giving eyesight to many people”. Dr. Reeta Gurung, CEO of NEP TIO said “Every day, this eye centre is giving back the gift of sight to hundreds of Nepalis and Tilganga has helped Nepal make remarkable progress in pioneering modern eye care. There is still a lot to be done, as Nepal has one of the world's highest incidences of curable blindness and we are happy to get support from Nabil Foundation for such a noble cause.” Prof. Dr. Sanduk Ruit, renowned eye surgeon also expressed satisfaction and thanked Nabil Foundation for extending the valuable support.
