Bagmati Corridor Maintenance
Due to the increase in commerce, transport, and other developmental activities, a healthy and clean environment is the need of hour. Bagmati is considered one of the holy rivers of the Hindus. The river has thus been polluted due to different human and developmental activities. In order to make the river less polluted, the High Powered Committee for Integrated Development of Bagmati Civilization (HPCIDBC) was formed in 2051 in the joint initiation of citizens and government. One of the major objectives of HPCIDBC is to maintain roads and green belts along the river banks. One of the areas of the Bagmati Corridor has been maintained by Nabil Bank since 2071 in collaboration with HPCIDBC. With the continuation of the support, the bank has maintained the Bagmati corridor area of about 2,750 sq. m.
Under this activity, areas nearby the corridor is also cleaned, built, and repaired. Bagmati itself being a symbol of civilization, religion, and culture, this CSR initiative in the corridor aims to maintain the garden and keep the road smooth in that area.
